STILL SICK BUT MY INSTINCTS ARE STILL WORKING

I am still sick from this awful cold/flu I caught three weeks ago, so I apologize for today's late post ... but I am somewhat consoled by the confirmation received today that, despite all my germs, my instincts about our market are still intact.

In just last Friday's post, I talked about some notable bargains I'd identified in the high-end market.  I see this morning that one of my "short list" choices, just went under contract ... The Lodge at Vail Chalet #1, originally listed at $14,800,000 and reduced to $11,850,000.  I knew it was a good one ... and now someone's got themselves a deal.

A knowledgeable, veteran, high-end broker here called me yesterday to discuss 4-bedroom condos in Beaver Creek for her bargain-hunting, high-end buyer. "The deals are disappearing," was her comment.

I concur.
